The short version: every calculation on this site runs inside your own browser. The numbers you type are never transmitted to our servers, never stored, and never sold. We do collect anonymous usage statistics and we do serve third-party advertising, both explained in full below.
This Privacy Policy explains what information this site collects, why, and what choices you have. By using the site you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information you give us directly
There are no user accounts, no logins and no newsletter. The only way to send us personal information is to email us voluntarily. If you do, we receive your address and whatever you write, and keep it only as long as needed to answer you.
Calculator inputs are not collected
Values you enter into any tool here — weights, heights, salaries, loan amounts, grades, dates — are processed entirely by JavaScript on your own device. They are not sent over the network, not written to our logs, and not visible to us. Closing or refreshing the tab discards them.
2. Information collected automatically
Server logs
Our hosting provider records standard web-server logs: IP address, browser user-agent, referring page, requested URL and timestamp. These are used for security, abuse prevention and aggregate traffic counts, and are retained on a rolling short-term basis.
Cookies and similar technologies
A cookie is a small text file placed on your device. This site may use:
- Essential and preference storage — remembers settings such as metric or imperial units. Held in your browser; not readable by us.
- Analytics cookies — anonymous, aggregated measurement of which pages are visited and how the site performs.
- Advertising cookies — set by Google and its partners, described next.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time. The calculators will continue to work.
3. Advertising — Google AdSense
This site displays advertisements served by Google AdSense.
- Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on this site.
- Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to this and other sites.
- Third-party vendors and ad networks may also serve ads here and may independently use cookies, web beacons or similar technologies.
- We have no access to, and no control over, cookies set by these third parties.

4. Analytics
We use privacy-respecting analytics to understand aggregate traffic — which pages are popular, which countries visitors come from, whether pages load quickly. Reports are aggregated and do not identify individuals.
5. Legal bases for processing (GDPR)
If you are in the EEA or UK: legitimate interests for security logging and aggregate analytics; consent for personalised advertising and non-essential cookies; legitimate interests for replying to emails you send us.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing of personal data we hold, to withdraw consent, and to complain to a supervisory authority.
California residents (CCPA/CPRA): you have the right to know what categories of personal information are collected, to request deletion, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising. We do not sell personal information for money.
7. Children’s privacy
This site is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA and UK). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
8. Security and retention
The site is served over HTTPS. Because calculator inputs never leave your device, there is no database of user calculations to breach. Email correspondence is kept only as long as necessary.
9. Links to other sites
Our pages and advertisements may link to third-party websites. We are not responsible for their privacy practices or content.
10. Changes
We may update this policy to reflect changes in law or in how the site operates. Material changes will be signalled by updating the date on this page.
